“Live Above The Clouds” Auction Draws High Society to British Library

January 29, 2024 ·

High society turned out for the Peak B Auction event at the British Library last October, in the hope of winning one of the few available properties on the land mass hovering over the English Channel.

The event also featured representatives from Her Majesty’s  Office of the Commissioners of Patents who were busy registering inventions to help solve the sanitation problems faced by the floating abodes. Music on the night was provided by Professor Elemental, Bhangra Dance London, and Ziazan Song.

The event featured a Night Market of traders from all round the country  showcasing art, costumes, millinery, and jewellery. One of the busiest attractions on the night was the DarkBox Photography stand, which had a long line of people waiting to be captured in their finery, as was Doctor Geof who was fully engaged in drawing portraits of attendees.

The night was also a success for Leggett and Scarper Estates, who were inundated with requests for information on properties on Peak C, the next floating island to be auctioned.
