Opposition To Angel’s Arrival Mounts

September 26, 1910 ·

The imminent arrival of Her Majesty’s Angel Corps Squadron seems to have ruffled a few feathers in the Cumbrian town of Kendal.

A letter leaked to the London Gazette suggests that a rich member of the community has begun talks to form an organisation to disrupt Angel Corps’ arrival and if possible chase the squadron out of town.

Fallen Angels.

As the arrival of Angel Corps grows near, the town of Kendal prepares itself for the chaos that will ensue once they touch down. The town of Kendal is peaceful, picturesque and hidden within the hills of Cumbria, it rarely sees any form of disturbance or quarrel, and lives in harmony  – that is until now…

Recently town meetings hosted by Angel Corps Intelligence Officers have ended in chaos and disagreement, creating disturbance on a grotesque level. The Angels will affect the prosperity and class system that our town has always had. They threaten the balance of our community.

Not everyone is created equal, some of us are born above others, while these so-called Angels want to change this. Who do they think they are?

Nosey women who believe that all females deserve the same respect and treatment as all males.  I strongly disagree with this, as do many other residents of Kendal. The last time they arrived, they caused problems and even started a brawl in our local watering hole.

They claim to represent Queen and country, I assure you they do not!

I believe that if they are coming, that is perfectly fine. However, many of us will not make it easy for them. They will surely want to depart shortly after their arrival…

I will see to that.

Anyone who wishes to get rid of the Corps, kindly join me at 32 Brokers Warehouse at precisely 10PM on the 1st of October. You will be greeted and taken to a location where we can discuss further action.

– Gerald Smithson.

Mr Smithson, a high standing member of the Kendal community, has been linked to Clock rustling, and the use of forged Clockwork documentation, but nothing has been proven as yet. When approached he refused to comment, but said  “the right people will make the right decision.”
